Christian Counseling

Faith can be part of the conversation — when you want it to be.

Cross on a hillside path

Faith doesn't require an absence of questions.

For some, faith is a source of strength, meaning, and hope. For others, it's complicated by grief, disappointment, unanswered questions, or seasons of doubt. There is room for all of that here.

When requested, I am happy to integrate a Christian perspective into therapy. This may include exploring faith, values, spiritual practices, and questions of meaning and purpose as they relate to your goals and beliefs.

Faith is never imposed. You are always in control of what we discuss.

"No shame is beyond His mercy. No darkness is beyond His light."

I CAN HELP YOU:
Explore faith, values, and spiritual questions
Process church hurt, doubt, or spiritual struggle
Strengthen your connection to what matters most
Integrate faith into healing and growth, if you choose
Find meaning and purpose in difficult seasons
Grow in hope, compassion, and forgiveness
Bible, candle, and journal

What faith-integrated counseling can look like

For some clients, faith is a steady source of strength. For others, it's tangled up with grief, doubt, or hurt from a church community. Both are welcome here.

When you ask for it, we might talk about how your beliefs shape the way you see a problem, draw on prayer or scripture you find meaningful, or work through spiritual questions alongside your other goals.

Christian counseling is available by secure video anywhere in Alaska, and faith is included only as much as you choose.

Common questions about Christian counseling

Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?

No. I work with people of all beliefs and none. Christian counseling is an option you can request, not a requirement.

How much will faith come into sessions?

That's up to you. Some clients want faith integrated regularly; others mention it occasionally or not at all. You can change your mind at any time.

Is Christian counseling still evidence-based?

Yes. I use the same evidence-based approaches, such as CBT and ACT, and bring in faith only in the ways you ask for.

Can I talk about doubt or church hurt?

Yes. You don't need to have your faith figured out. Questions, anger, and doubt are all welcome.

You don't have to have all the answers.

You just have to be willing to take the next step.
