I see adults by secure video in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, the Mat-Su Valley (Wasilla and Palmer), Eagle River, the Kenai Peninsula (Kenai, Soldotna and Homer), Sitka, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Bethel, Nome, Kotzebue and Utqiagvik, and in rural communities reachable only by plane or boat. If you are physically in Alaska during your session, we can work together.

Common questions about teletherapy
Do I need to download an app?
No. You'll join from a secure link on your phone, tablet, or computer. There's nothing to install.
What if my internet connection is spotty?
That's common in Alaska, especially off the road system. A phone with a steady cell or Wi-Fi signal is usually enough. If the call drops, just rejoin the same link, and at your first session we'll agree on a backup plan. If video won't hold, we can finish the session by phone.
Where can I be during a session?
Anywhere private while you're physically in Alaska: home, a parked car, or an office with the door closed. Headphones help keep things confidential.
What if I'll be traveling outside Alaska?
Sessions need to happen while you're physically located in Alaska. If you'll be out of state, let me know ahead of time and we'll plan around it.
Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
For many concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, research shows video therapy works about as well as meeting in person. Many people also find it easier to open up from a familiar space.
